Krumgold
Joseph Quincy Krumgold was an American writer of children's books and screenplays, best known as the first author to win two Newbery Medals for *...And Now Miguel* (1954) and *Onion John* (1959).[1][2] Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, to a family involved in movie theaters, he pursued careers in filmmaking, producing documentaries and screenplays before adapting his work into acclaimed children's literature.[2][5] He also wrote *Henry 3* (1967) and *The Most Terrible Turk* (1969), and continued working in television production.[2]
