Konrad Wiese

Konrad Weise is a German former professional footballer who played as a defender primarily for Carl Zeiss Jena from 1970 to 1986, winning multiple domestic titles including three cups and five runner-up finishes in the DDR-Oberliga. He earned 86 caps for the East Germany national team between 1970 and 1981, scoring two goals, participated in the 1974 FIFA World Cup, and won Olympic gold in 1976. After retiring, he was honored with awards such as the 'Goldener Fußball' in 1991.
