Kimberla Lawson Roby
Kimberla Lawson Roby is an American New York Times bestselling author best known for her 'Reverend Curtis Black' series, which addresses real-life social issues like infidelity, family values, and problems within the church in a fictional format.[1][2] Born in Rockford, Illinois, she began her writing career after leaving a job as a financial analyst, self-publishing her first novel Behind Closed Doors in 1997 before achieving widespread success with over 30 books sold in more than 3 million copies.[1][3][6] She is also a speaker, podcast host, and founder of Successful Women of Faith, with numerous awards including the 2013 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work – Fiction.[2][5]
