Kim Becnel

Dr. Kim Becnel is a Professor of Library Science and Program Director of the MLS program in Public and Academic Libraries at Appalachian State University[1][2]. She holds a Ph.D. in Literature and Language from the University of South Carolina and is a former youth services librarian and juvenile services coordinator[1]. Her research focuses on youth literature, public and school libraries, intellectual freedom, censorship, graphic novels, and mental health in youth literature[1].
