Kevin Crossley-Holland
Kevin Crossley-Holland is an English translator, children's author, and poet born on 7 February 1941 in Mursley, Buckinghamshire. He is best known for his Arthur trilogy (2000–2003), which won the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize and has been translated into twenty-five languages, as well as for his translations of Beowulf from Anglo-Saxon and his retellings of Norse myths and British folk tales. He won the Carnegie Medal for his 1985 novella Storm and is an Honorary Fellow of St Edmund Hall, Oxford, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
