Kevin Adams

Kevin Adams is an associate professor of history at Kent State University specializing in nineteenth-century American history, particularly War & Society, the Gilded Age, and the American West. He is best known for his book 'Class and Race in the Frontier Army: Military Life in the West, 1870-1890' (2009), which examines how Victorian class divisions and racism shaped the U.S. Army after the Civil War. He serves as associate editor of Civil War History and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in American history.
