Kermit L. Hall
Kermit L. Hall (1944–2006) was a prominent American historian specializing in constitutional, legal, and judicial history, authoring or editing over 25 books and 75 scholarly articles on the Supreme Court and related topics.[1][2] A first-generation college graduate, he earned degrees from the University of Akron (BA, 1966), Syracuse University (MA, 1967), University of Minnesota (PhD, 1972), and Yale Law School (MSL, 1980), and held academic positions at Vanderbilt, Wayne State, Florida, Utah State (president 2000–2004), and University at Albany (president from 2005).[1][4] He also served on the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Review Board and died of a heart attack at age 61.[1][2]
