Kent Wascom

Kent Wascom was born in New Orleans and raised in Pensacola, Florida. He is the author of novels including The Blood of Heaven (2013), Secessia (2015), The New Inheritors (2018), and The Great State of West Florida, which form a tetralogy exploring the history of the Gulf Coast; his debut was named a best book of the year by The Washington Post and NPR. He lives in Norfolk, Virginia, where he directs the MFA in Creative Writing Program at Old Dominion University.
