Ken Wlaschin

Kenneth Glen Wlaschin (1934–2009) was an American film historian, programmer, and author who served as program director of London's National Film Theatre and organizer of the London Film Festival from 1969 to 1984, bringing international cinema to Britain.[1][2][3] He later directed the American Film Institute's Los Angeles International Film Festival from 1986 to 1993 and authored over 20 books, including film encyclopedias and novels like *To Kill the Pope*.[1][3] Of Romanian descent on his father's side, he had a diverse career in journalism, television, and film preservation.[2][3]
