Ken Pence

Ken R Pence, Ph.D. is a retired Metro Nashville Police captain with 31 years of service, including 16 years on SWAT, who has taught police and military personnel in confrontation management skills across the US and Europe.[1] He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and taught at Vanderbilt University from 2000-2022, conducting research in cybersecurity, DARPA projects, and magnetic levitation.[2] He is an author of children's and young adult fantasy fiction, including the LUX and the New TECH series.[1][4]
