Kazuki Takahashi
Kazuki Takahashi, born Kazuo Takahashi, was a Japanese manga artist best known for creating the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1996 to 2004. He debuted in 1981 with the one-shot Ing! Love Ball under a pen name and produced several works before achieving massive success with Yu-Gi-Oh!, which spawned anime and a trading card game. Takahashi died on July 4, 2022, while attempting to rescue others from a rip current off the coast of Nago, Japan.[1][2][3]
