Katsuhiro Otomo

Katsuhiro Otomo is a Japanese manga artist, screenwriter, animator, and film director best known as the creator of Akira, both the original manga series and its 1988 animated film adaptation. He first rose to prominence in the 1970s as a pioneer of the New Wave in manga and anime.[1]
