Kathy L. Plotkin
Kathy L. Plotkin, born in 1930 and a native of Bismarck, North Dakota, is an author known for her family memoir 'The Pearson Girls: A Family Memoir of the Dakota Plains,' which chronicles the lives of five sisters growing up on a homestead in Emmons County, North Dakota, through letters and stories.[1][2][6] She began her writing career after graduating from Roanoke College, serving as a feature writer, society editor, circulation manager, and columnist for the Times Register in Salem, Virginia.[2] Her works explore themes of biography, farm life, frontier and pioneer life, and social customs.[1]
