Kathy Acker was an American experimental novelist, poet, playwright, essayist, critic, and performance artist known for transgressive, postmodern writing that explored sexuality, identity, language, and rebellion. Her work often blended autobiography with fiction and deliberately borrowed from other writers to challenge ideas of authorship and selfhood.
