Kathryn Braund

Kathryn E. Holland Braund is an American historian and author specializing in Creek Indian history, the Creek War of 1812-14, and gender roles in the Creek Nation. She earned her M.A. from Auburn University in 1980 and Ph.D. from Florida State University in 1986, and served as the Hollifield Professor of Southern History Emerita at Auburn University. Her notable publications include 'Deerskins and Duffels: Creek Indian Trade with Anglo-America, 1685-1815' (1993).
