Katherine Stewart

Katherine Stewart is an American investigative journalist and author born in Boston, Massachusetts, who began her career in journalism at The Village Voice and has freelanced for outlets like Newsweek and Rolling Stone.[1][5] She published novels such as The Yoga Mamas before focusing on nonfiction works including The Good News Club (2012), The Power Worshippers (2020)—which inspired the documentary God & Country—and the New York Times bestseller Money, Lies, and God (2025), addressing religious nationalism, church-state separation, and threats to democracy.[2][3][7] Her writing appears in The New York Times, The Guardian, and others, and she resides in New York City with her family.[1][2]
