Katherine Paterson
Katherine Paterson (born Katherine Womeldorf) is an American author best known for children's and young adult novels such as Bridge to Terabithia and Jacob Have I Loved. Born in China to missionary parents, she later studied in the United States, worked as a missionary in Japan, and went on to win two Newbery Medals, two National Book Awards, and major international honors for her contributions to children's literature.
