Kate Seredy

Kate Seredy (1899–1975) was a Hungarian-born American writer and illustrator renowned for her beloved children's books, many inspired by her childhood in Hungary. She won the Newbery Medal for 'The White Stag' and received multiple Newbery and Caldecott honors for works like 'The Good Master' and 'The Singing Tree'.
