Karen Acerson

Karen C. Acerson is a prominent business and community leader in Utah, recognized for her contributions with an honorary doctorate in humane letters from Utah Valley University in 2022.[1] In the late 1980s, as Karen Ashton, she served on Orem City's Library Board, where she founded the Friends of the Orem Public Library and initiated the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival to raise funds for a children's library.[2][3] She has been involved in local leadership, including as mayor of Lindon, Utah, and served an LDS Church mission in the Padova mission in Italy.[4]
