Kara LaReau
Kara LaReau is an award-winning children's book author and former editor, known for works like the Geisel Award-winning chapter book series The Infamous Ratsos and the middle-grade trilogy The Unintentional Adventures of the Bland Sisters. Born and raised in Connecticut, she earned her Master of Fine Arts in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College and edited notable books by Kate DiCamillo at Candlewick Press and Scholastic Press, including Newbery winners Because of Winn-Dixie and The Tale of Despereaux. She lives in Providence, Rhode Island.
