Kapka Kassabova
Kapka Kassabova is a Bulgarian-New Zealand poet, novelist, and author of narrative non-fiction, known for her works exploring the impact of history, geography, and borders on individual lives, particularly in the Balkans. Born in Sofia in 1973, she emigrated to New Zealand in 1992 and later moved to Scotland, where she currently resides. Her bilingual writing, primarily in English with Bulgarian as her mother tongue, has been translated into over twenty languages and has earned numerous international awards.
