Kamini A. Rao
Dr. Kamini A. Rao is a pioneer in assisted reproduction in India, specializing in reproductive endocrinology, ovarian physiology, and assisted reproductive technology, credited with milestones like India's first SIFT baby and South India's first ICSI and laser-assisted hatching babies.[1][2][5] She founded Milann (formerly BACC Healthcare), co-founded Dr. Kamini Rao Hospitals, chairs the International Institute for Training and Research in Reproductive Health, and established the Kamini Kares Foundation to empower women and girls; she has authored nearly 50 medical textbooks and served as president of FOGSI (2000) and ISAR (2006-2008).[1][2][4] A recipient of the Padma Shri in 2014 and other awards, she is recognized for advancing fertility care and medical education.[1][2]
