June Crebbin

June Crebbin (born 26 May 1938) is a British children's author based in Leicestershire, England, who wrote over 40 books after taking early retirement as a primary school teacher in 1990.[1][2][3] She began writing as a child and worked as a teacher in England and the US before focusing on poetry, stories, and picture books, several featuring ponies.[2][3][4] Her works include award citations for *Fly-by-Night* and *Carrie Climbs a Mountain*, and have been translated into Spanish.[3]
