Julie Leung

Julie Leung is an award-winning author of children's books, including the 2024 Caldecott Honor picture book The Truth About Dragons and Paper Son: The Story of Tyrus Wong, Immigrant and Artist, which won the 2021 Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature. Raised in the sleepy suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, she grew up immersed in fantasy worlds like Oz and Middle-earth, graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in English and journalism, and works by day as a marketing director at Random House specializing in sci-fi and fantasy books.
