Julia Christensen

Julia Christensen (born 1976) is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and educator based in Oberlin, Ohio, where she serves as the Eva and John Young-Hunter Professor of Studio Art at Oberlin College. Her interdisciplinary work explores systems of time, change, landscape, and technology through photography, video, sound, installation, sculpture, and performance. She is the author of Big Box Reuse (MIT Press, 2008) and Upgrade Available (Dancing Foxes Press, 2020), and founded the Space Song Foundation to cultivate long-term thinking at the intersection of art, science, and design.
