Julia Barnes grew up on Long Island, New York, with a Swedish mother and American father, spending summers with her Swedish family in Sweden. As a child, she loved reading and writing stories. She holds a Master’s in Elementary Education and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and works educating young children while being a certified Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher.[4]
