Judith Treas

Judith K. Treas (born c. 1947) is an American sociologist and Chancellor's Professor of Sociology at the University of California, Irvine. She is recognized for her cross-national research on gender, family, inequality, and the life course, including studies on couples' division of housework and household management[1][5]. She earned her Ph.D. in sociology from UCLA in 1976 and currently directs the Center for Demographic and Social Analysis at UC Irvine[1][2].
