Judith Janda Presnall
Judith Janda Presnall, born April 2, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a children's book author who worked as a secretary, business and typing teacher, and hospital volunteer before focusing on writing.[1] She began writing for children in 1985, producing biographies such as those on Rachel Carson and carrier pigeons, and earned awards for unpublished manuscripts including one on Queen Liliuokalani.[1][4][3] A member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, she married engineer Lance O. Presnall in 1967 and has two children.[1]
