Jr Godsey William D.

William D. Godsey Jr. is a historian specializing in the Habsburg Monarchy and Central European nobility, who studied modern history at the University of Virginia and earned his PhD in 1995 with Fulbright support. He served as a Lise-Meitner fellow at the University of Vienna (2000-2002), completed his habilitation there in 2007, and is a research associate at the Austrian Academy of Sciences' Institute for Habsburg History, as well as a fellow of the Royal Historical Society.
