Joyce Spencer

Joyce Spencer (1928-2019) was an Australian artist and author from Narrandera known for her accessible 'Light Airy Fairy' style in folk art and decorative painting. She taught craft and decorative painting for years, published five books including the bestselling 'Folk Art Cards,' and co-authored the internationally published 'The Art of Teaching Craft.' Spencer was also an active poet in Sydney poetry circles before relocating to the Southern Highlands and later Narrandera.
