Joyce Johnson
Joyce Johnson (née Glassman) is an award-winning American memoirist, novelist, and biographer born in 1935 in New York City. Best known for her memoir *Minor Characters*, which won the National Book Critics Circle Award in 1983, she is also recognized for her literary contributions to Beat Generation literature, including her relationship with Jack Kerouac documented in *The Voice is All* (2012) and *Door Wide Open* (2000).
