Joss Whedon

Joseph Hill 'Joss' Whedon is an American filmmaker, comic book writer, and composer best known as the creator of the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003), its spinoff Angel (1999–2004), Firefly (2002), and the Internet musical Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.[1][2] He began his career writing for sitcoms and films like the 1992 Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie, Toy Story (1995), and Alien Resurrection (1997), later directing Marvel's The Avengers (2012).[1] Whedon is renowned for his snappy dialogue and strong female leads in genre storytelling.[2]
