Joss Lynam
Joss Lynam (1924-2010) was an Irish civil engineer and one of Ireland's most influential mountaineers, known for his extensive climbing expeditions across Ireland, the Alps, the Himalayas, and beyond. He was a founder member of the Irish Mountaineering Club, serving as president from 1982-1984, and editor of Irish Mountain Log for twenty-five years. He played a key role in developing mountaineering as a sport in Ireland and led expeditions that contributed to the first Irish ascent of Mount Everest in 1993.
