Joshua Gayou is a science fiction author from Southern California best known for his bestselling Commune series, which began with Commune: Book One in 2017. An engineer by trade, he blends practical detail with character-driven storytelling to explore post-apocalyptic themes and what it takes to rebuild after societal collapse. By 2020, he had published more than five novels across the Commune and Worldship series alongside several standalone works.
