Joseph S. Nye Jr.

Joseph S. Nye Jr. was an American political scientist and former dean of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, best known for developing the concepts of soft power, smart power, and neoliberal institutionalism in international relations. He served in several U.S. government roles, including Assistant Secretary of Defense and Chair of the National Intelligence Council, and was a leading influence on American foreign policy.
