Joseph Hall

Joseph Hall (1574–1656) was an English bishop, moral philosopher, poet, and satirist known for his moderate Anglican views and his critiques of social and religious vice. He served as bishop of Exeter and later Norwich, and his writings, including satirical and devotional works, influenced later authors such as Jonathan Swift.
