Joseph Dabney

Joseph Earl "Joe" Dabney was an American author and former newspaperman from South Carolina whose career later included public relations work at Lockheed in Georgia. He wrote on Southern foodways, folklore, and history, and is especially known for books such as "Smokehouse Ham, Spoon Bread & Scuppernong Wine" and "Herk" about the C-130 Hercules aircraft.[1][2][5][6]
