Joni Eareckson Tada
Joni Eareckson Tada is an American evangelical author, radio host, artist, and disability advocate who became a quadriplegic at age 17 after a diving accident. She founded the non-profit organization Joni and Friends in 1979 to provide Christian outreach, wheelchairs, and family camps for people with disabilities worldwide. She has written over 48 books, often using voice-recognition software, and paints with a brush held between her teeth.
