Jonathan Lowe

Edward Jonathan Lowe (known personally as Jonathan Lowe) was a prominent British philosopher and academic, specializing in metaphysics, ontology, philosophy of mind, and early modern philosophy, particularly the work of John Locke. He served as Professor of Philosophy at Durham University from 1980 until his death in 2014, publishing eleven single-authored books and over 300 papers. Lowe is widely recognized for his sustained contributions to debates in metaphysics, philosophy of religion, and philosophical logic.
