Jonathan Bastable
Jonathan Bastable is a British journalist, author, and translator specializing in Russia, having studied Russian and German at Nottingham University and lived in Leningrad and Moscow for many years.[1][2][3] He worked at The Sunday Times as a magazine writer and Russian Affairs Editor, and has been a travel writer, foreign correspondent, and feature writer.[1][4] In 2022, he won the Open category of the Stephen Spender Prize for translation.[1]
