Jonah Winter
Jonah Winter is an award-winning children's book author and poet born in 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas, known for pioneering picture-book biographies that promote social justice, environmental awareness, and artistic expression.[1][4] He has written more than 40 nonfiction picture books, including acclaimed works such as Diego, Frida, Barack, and Lillian's Right to Vote.[7] Winter began his career as a poet publishing in adult magazines and has also worked as a musician, illustrator, and former children's book editor.[2]
