Jon Wilson

Jon Wilson is a Florida-based author, journalist, and historian known for his non-fiction works on St. Petersburg's history, particularly its African American neighborhoods, and a novel titled Bridger’s Run. He worked as a reporter and editor for 37 years at the St. Petersburg Times and Evening Independent, later serving as a communications consultant for Florida Humanities. A U.S. Army veteran who has lived in St. Petersburg since 1956, he earned degrees from the University of South Florida including a bachelor’s in English and master’s in journalism studies and liberal arts.[3][6]
