John Weeks

John Wingate Weeks (1860–1926) was an American public official and Republican politician from Massachusetts who served in both the U.S. House and Senate before becoming Secretary of War from 1921 to 1925. He is best known for sponsoring the Weeks Act, which helped the federal government conserve forest lands in the eastern United States.
