John U. Bacon
John U. Bacon is an American sports journalist, author, public speaker, college instructor, and hockey coach with nearly three decades of experience, winning awards in each field.[1][4][6] He earned an honors degree in history from the University of Michigan in 1986 and a Master's in Education in 1994, and has authored over ten books on sports, business, health, and history, with several becoming New York Times bestsellers such as 'The Great Halifax Explosion' and 'Let Them Lead'.[1][2][5] He teaches at the University of Michigan and Northwestern University, lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and has coached high school hockey to remarkable success.[2][7][8]
