John Spencer

John W. Spencer is a retired U.S. Army officer, scholar, and author known for his expertise in urban warfare, military strategy, and tactics. He serves as chair of urban warfare studies at the Modern War Institute, co-directs its Urban Warfare Project, and has written books including Connected Soldiers and coauthored Understanding Urban Warfare.
