John Sill
John Sill is an American author and illustrator born on November 22, 1947, in St. Pauls, North Carolina, specializing in children's nonfiction books about nature, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and habitats, often in collaboration with his wife, Cathryn Sill. He holds a BS in wildlife biology from North Carolina State University and has worked as a bird calendar artist for Viking Penguin and illustrator for South Carolina Wildlife magazine. His detailed, realistic illustrations have been exhibited, such as at the Birds in Art show, and praised for being inviting and informative.[1][4][6]
