John S. Lewis (Author)

John S. Lewis (born June 27, 1941) is a Professor Emeritus of planetary science at the University of Arizona's Lunar and Planetary Laboratory. An expert on the composition and chemistry of asteroids and comets, he has authored popular science books such as Rain of Iron and Ice and Mining the Sky, advocating for the economic development of space resources from near-Earth objects. He served as Chief Scientist at Deep Space Industries and has written numerous scientific publications and textbooks.[2][3]
