John R. Smythies

John R. Smythies was a British neuropsychiatrist, neuroscientist, and neurophilosopher who had a long academic career in the United Kingdom and the United States. He was also described as a psychedelic pioneer and worked at institutions including the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Edinburgh.
