John Owen
John Owen (1616–1683) was an English Puritan Nonconformist theologian and vice-chancellor of the University of Oxford, widely regarded as one of the greatest British theologians of all time. A prolific author who produced over 80 works in a 41-year writing span, Owen is particularly known for his writings on sin, human depravity, and Reformed theology. He served as a key religious advisor to Oliver Cromwell and was a leading figure in the Congregational movement in England.
