John Ortberg
John Ortberg is an American evangelical Christian author, speaker, and pastor born in Rockford, Illinois, who earned degrees from Wheaton College and Fuller Theological Seminary.[1][2] He has served in various pastoral roles, including at Simi Valley Community Church, Horizons Community Church, Willow Creek Community Church, and as senior pastor of Menlo Church in Menlo Park, California for 17 years, and now leads the Become New ministry.[1][2][4] Ortberg has authored numerous books on spiritual formation, such as *The Life You've Always Wanted*, and continues to teach, speak, and host a podcast with daily Bible devotionals.[2][3][5]
